Before leaving for work (very early) this morning Benji's mum asked for "lots of cute photos" to show her what happens today when she is away. As requested... Benji's Day, a photo story.
7:30 am; had a shower with dad and then read a few books to the dog.
7:35 am; dog said thanks for the books.
8:25 am; our first trip outside (with the dog) and a trip to the playground. Lots of climbing and sliding (with no help).
9:02 am; heading home again, and while mum doesn't like it, a morning nap had to happen.
10:33 am; awake from the early nap, brought bear & blanket to help deal.
10:52 am; on the counter, watching dad do some dishes. Planning to make coffee soon.
11:07 am; jammin' with Bob Marley and a few more books before lunch.
11:19 am; and maybe an orange in the dog's bed as an appetizer.
12:06 pm; watched dad get a smokie. Not as interesting as he thinks.
12:23 pm; watched dad eat a smokie in the park; had a few bites of the bun. Decided to slide off the park bench and got a nasty little knock on the head.
1:02 pm; so we went to see mum at work. She was a little surprised by the bump.
4:17 pm; next thing you know, another nap happened.
5:24 pm; dinner! Whatever it is, it has ketchup on it.
5:48 pm; which always seems mean a bath afterwards. Fun times in mum's tub while she is at work!
6:49 pm; pjs on and a quick check of Facebook before bed.
6:52 pm; there still seem to be zero comments on this blog post.
7:03 pm; brushing on mum's pillow!
...and goodnight.

Well, Hello There!
Mama in the City since 2008 and blogging since 2009!
My first apartment baby is now a full on boy and we struggle with finding space in our condo for his growing toy collection. I'm also a new mum to our second apartment baby, born January 13, 2012!
I have a husband who is an excellent cook and takes amazing photos. I work as a labor and delivery nurse and really love the work that I do and gave birth to baby #2 at my work place.
I use this space to write about my family and to share my passion about breastfeeding, birth and parenting. I have a fantastic purse collection and have loved watching it grow, mostly lovely gifts over the years from my husband. I currently have a closet full of purses that are too small or impractical to fit a diaper or sippy cup in, and so they are on hold for future years.
Have a question or a comment? Email me! I also love to read comments left on posts, so feel free to leave me a note!

March 20, 2010 at 9:31 PMWhat a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing Alex! I felt so heart sore about the bump though, but what's a story without a bit of drama! Hope Ben is okay and it looked like he totally forgot about it by that great smile of his. What a cutie!
March 20, 2010 at 11:37 PMThis was such a nice treat to see while I was working. Especially since with the long shifts I don't really get to see Ben. Maybe for a couple of minutes in the AM if he wakes up early. It was a real surprise coming down the hospital hallway and seeing Ben standing there.
March 21, 2010 at 9:16 AMHow sweet. Love the photos!
