This early afternoon when I woke up from my night shift the first thing that my husband excitedly said to me was, 'today Ben did something that we have been waiting 16 months for!!' I am racking my post night shift brain thinking what it could be. What the heck is it?
It was this.
My boy crawled into the dogs bed and started watching out the apartment window. With the Olympics almost here there is a lot of action going on outside. Within 10 minutes he fell fast asleep.
Seriously cute and yes...we have been waiting for our child to do something like this. Love it!

Well, Hello There!
Mama in the City since 2008 and blogging since 2009!
My first apartment baby is now a full on boy and we struggle with finding space in our condo for his growing toy collection. I'm also a new mum to our second apartment baby, born January 13, 2012!
I have a husband who is an excellent cook and takes amazing photos. I work as a labor and delivery nurse and really love the work that I do and gave birth to baby #2 at my work place.
I use this space to write about my family and to share my passion about breastfeeding, birth and parenting. I have a fantastic purse collection and have loved watching it grow, mostly lovely gifts over the years from my husband. I currently have a closet full of purses that are too small or impractical to fit a diaper or sippy cup in, and so they are on hold for future years.
Have a question or a comment? Email me! I also love to read comments left on posts, so feel free to leave me a note!

That is one of the cutest pictures I've seen! He is such a little boy now and I can't believe he fell asleep watching out the window!
January 27, 2010 at 9:58 PMI am full of envy, if only my daughter would fall asleep doing something like this. She usually needs everything in perfect order and total quiet and a big routine before she thinks it might be okay to go to sleep. So envious!!! I do find this picture mega cute and full of sweetness. You must of loved getting this news.
January 28, 2010 at 9:21 AMThat is seriously cute! Yay Ben! Looks like he can sleep anywhere now. Even on the window sill. How long did he sleep like that?
January 28, 2010 at 1:17 PMSo funny! I was thinking he might pass out in that thing the other night when I was over and he was so tired and kept laying down in it. Oh Benny, you make me smile.
January 28, 2010 at 1:31 PMI know right! Remember all my agony and complaints over how bad of a sleeper/napper he was..and now this! Yes!
January 28, 2010 at 2:09 PMHow old is your daughter Monica? Ben seriously was a really touchy sleeper until two months ago. Then >boom< something happened.
January 28, 2010 at 2:09 PMAlex said that he thinks it was 10 minutes and then he put him into his crib where he kept on sleeping. I was always so jealous seeing pictures or hearing stories of little kids sleeping in their high chair or falling asleep while playing with toys.
January 28, 2010 at 2:10 PMCute right sis?! He really loves looking out the windows.
January 28, 2010 at 2:11 PMthat is super cute andrea and alex, ben is so adorable. we waited and waited for jack to fall asleep in a funny place....no go, not even once in the highchair. good thing for 2nd babies; eric fell asleep after jumping his heart out in his cousin's jumperoo. it was the greatest day that day. (the things we find satisfying as parents eh? =) )
February 1, 2010 at 12:13 PMYes! It feels like a parenting milestone for sure! It is also a moment that must be photographed!
