You know you are a parent when:
*You hit up 3 different craft and dollar stores hunting for festive items so you can decorate your child's bicycle for a Canada Day parade.
*You set your alarm clock extra early so your child can participate in a children's bicycle parade (in a different city and all before 8 AM).
*You don't mind having to do any of the above and secretly get a bit misty eyed as you see your child ride off with the crowd.
*You ask your child what was the best part of this special day, thinking it will obviously be the decked out bike and parade. When he responds it was playing at the playground, you are sort of okay with that.
Cotton candy at 8 AM? Sure!

Well, Hello There!
Mama in the City since 2008 and blogging since 2009!
My first apartment baby is now a full on boy and we struggle with finding space in our condo for his growing toy collection. I'm also a new mum to our second apartment baby, born January 13, 2012!
I have a husband who is an excellent cook and takes amazing photos. I work as a labor and delivery nurse and really love the work that I do and gave birth to baby #2 at my work place.
I use this space to write about my family and to share my passion about breastfeeding, birth and parenting. I have a fantastic purse collection and have loved watching it grow, mostly lovely gifts over the years from my husband. I currently have a closet full of purses that are too small or impractical to fit a diaper or sippy cup in, and so they are on hold for future years.
Have a question or a comment? Email me! I also love to read comments left on posts, so feel free to leave me a note!

July 2, 2012 at 3:24 PMhaha totally. My old self LOVED sleeping in and would never have guessed that I'd purposefully, not work related, get up at the crack of dawn on a weekend. My current self admired the empty roads and easy drive out of the city. Look! No one else is awake! hehe
