Tonight was the big night people! Our first time since the baby was born! Actually, it was the first time since our anniversary date way back on December 30, 2011 (to be totally exact). That is technically a few weeks before the baby was born, but who's counting? Obviously, I am.
We just came back from the most delicious dinner date at our very favourite Vancouver restaurant, Chambar. When given the chance to head out for dinner (with no children in tow) we will usually both mutually choose Chambar. Back in the day we used to be quite the connoisseurs of dining in Vancouver, but now with very limited opportunity to go out, we are quite pleased that we've found a few golden spots to revisit.
Let me tell you about the best martini in town. You've got to be a bit of a blue cheese lover to really appreciate this cocktail. It is The Blue Fig martini and I first had it on my 30th birthday after a girlfriend ordered one. You get this perfect gin martini served with a tiny plate of blue cheese and a tiny spoon. Sip, spoon, sip, sip, spoon. So delicious.

Well, Hello There!
Mama in the City since 2008 and blogging since 2009!
My first apartment baby is now a full on boy and we struggle with finding space in our condo for his growing toy collection. I'm also a new mum to our second apartment baby, born January 13, 2012!
I have a husband who is an excellent cook and takes amazing photos. I work as a labor and delivery nurse and really love the work that I do and gave birth to baby #2 at my work place.
I use this space to write about my family and to share my passion about breastfeeding, birth and parenting. I have a fantastic purse collection and have loved watching it grow, mostly lovely gifts over the years from my husband. I currently have a closet full of purses that are too small or impractical to fit a diaper or sippy cup in, and so they are on hold for future years.
Have a question or a comment? Email me! I also love to read comments left on posts, so feel free to leave me a note!
