Part of our little family includes our old dog Maggie. She's only been with us for the last 3.5 years but is closer to 13 or 14 years old, we aren't really sure since we picked her up at the local SPCA pound. Maggie is a very good dog and also fluffy with black and white fur; we think she might be a mini Australian Shepard but can't be totally positive since we don't know her history.
It came time for Maggie's big brush-a-thon that's necessary to deal with all the shedding that comes this time of year. My husband was very dedicated and over a few hours (yes, hours!) managed to brush off enough fur to create this:
'Mama, it's another puppy! We've got 2 dogs!

Well, Hello There!
Mama in the City since 2008 and blogging since 2009!
My first apartment baby is now a full on boy and we struggle with finding space in our condo for his growing toy collection. I'm also a new mum to our second apartment baby, born January 13, 2012!
I have a husband who is an excellent cook and takes amazing photos. I work as a labor and delivery nurse and really love the work that I do and gave birth to baby #2 at my work place.
I use this space to write about my family and to share my passion about breastfeeding, birth and parenting. I have a fantastic purse collection and have loved watching it grow, mostly lovely gifts over the years from my husband. I currently have a closet full of purses that are too small or impractical to fit a diaper or sippy cup in, and so they are on hold for future years.
Have a question or a comment? Email me! I also love to read comments left on posts, so feel free to leave me a note!

May 23, 2011 at 3:56 PMI'm pretty sure you have a Border Collie there! Our family dog is a border collie. She's 17!! Such gorgeous dogs but they definitely shed like crazy this time of year!
May 23, 2011 at 4:33 PMFunny Lisa! Our last dog was a true border collie and she lived till 17 years old. When we first got Maggie we thought she was a border too because of her colourings...but she has a really big wide haunches, no tail, very short face. Whatever she is, she is quite tiny and we love that part. Everyone thinks she is a puppy still :)
