Mama in the City: Oh baby!

Well, Hello There!

Mama in the City since 2008 and blogging since 2009!

Hi! I'm Andrea, a 30 something girl who loves living the downtown lifestyle and didn't want to give it up once I started a family. I live in beautiful Vancouver city right along the seawall and three years ago I had my first baby.

My first apartment baby is now a full on boy and we struggle with finding space in our condo for his growing toy collection. I'm also a new mum to our second apartment baby, born January 13, 2012!

I have a husband who is an excellent cook and takes amazing photos. I work as a labor and delivery nurse and really love the work that I do and gave birth to baby #2 at my work place.

I use this space to write about my family and to share my passion about breastfeeding, birth and parenting. I have a fantastic purse collection and have loved watching it grow, mostly lovely gifts over the years from my husband. I currently have a closet full of purses that are too small or impractical to fit a diaper or sippy cup in, and so they are on hold for future years.

Oh baby!

I have joined the world of blogging. Here you will learn about all the cool fun adventures a city baby and Mum get up to.

A little story to get us all going. I live in a high condo with my husband and chubby baby who is 9 months old. We have a dog and enjoy spending family time together. Baby Benjamin and I get out and about every day. The benefit to living in a city with your baby is that every day you can have some out and about excitement that does not include packing up a car. The stroller is always out and ready for our next adventure. Lucky baby! This baby also has a bedroom with a waterfront view. He doesn't know how nice that is just yet but I will remind him enough!
