After much obsessing and worrying about how little Ben would do on his very first airplane trip, I now realize I should have spent more time planning the sleeping arrangements on our holiday than feeling anxious over the plane ride! We had a great flight and were in awe and amazement when Ben fluttered his eye lids and fell fast asleep as we were taking off. He only needed to be entertained a total of one hour and that was not too difficult!
On our first night we stayed in a hotel that had a suite and the young lad slept for 12 hours straight and woke up cheerful. On our second day we moved hotels and there were no suites to be had. So, we had to settle on a one room hotel with tight quarters and loud noises. He kept on popping up in the crib and peering around the closet door to catch a look at me lounging on the bed and he'd wave hello. We ended up reverting back to the old sleep soothing methods to get Ben to go to sleep. Currently he is having his afternoon nap in our king size bed after much song and dance to get him to nap.
Other than the annoying sleep issues we are enjoying the sun and clear blue skies and spending time together without the usual daily grind. We have met up with my husbands family and Ben has enjoyed playing with his older cousins.

Well, Hello There!
Mama in the City since 2008 and blogging since 2009!
My first apartment baby is now a full on boy and we struggle with finding space in our condo for his growing toy collection. I'm also a new mum to our second apartment baby, born January 13, 2012!
I have a husband who is an excellent cook and takes amazing photos. I work as a labor and delivery nurse and really love the work that I do and gave birth to baby #2 at my work place.
I use this space to write about my family and to share my passion about breastfeeding, birth and parenting. I have a fantastic purse collection and have loved watching it grow, mostly lovely gifts over the years from my husband. I currently have a closet full of purses that are too small or impractical to fit a diaper or sippy cup in, and so they are on hold for future years.
Have a question or a comment? Email me! I also love to read comments left on posts, so feel free to leave me a note!
